Dr. Matthew Purri joins as Machine Learning Scientist

We are pleased to announce a recent addition to our team: Dr. Matthew Purri, a Machine Learning Scientist. His responsibilities include developing new steganography algorithms to keep Steg AI watermarking at the forefront of the industry.
Before joining Steg.AI, Matt received his PhD in Computer Science from Rutgers University where he specialized in surface and texture understanding from images and video. This includes many publications in top-tier conferences like CVPR, ECCV, and WACV. Matt also brings prior industry experience from his work at big tech companies like Waymo and Amazon and smaller startup environments like Kitware, Clarifai, Floodbase, and Altana. In total, these experiences have given Matt a range of expertise across the Machine Learning and Computer Vision landscape, making him an ideal addition to the Steg AI science team.

Steg appoints Joseph DeGol, former Microsoft Principal Researcher, as new CTO

Previously at Microsoft, DeGol specialized in computer vision, augmented reality, and robotics. Joseph DeGol, Steg.AI's new CTO, brings extensive expertise in computer vision and AI, honed during his tenure as a Principal Researcher at Microsoft in Redmond. With a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a background collaborating with industry luminaries, he's recognized for pioneering work in computer vision; particularly related to fiducial markers, 3D reconstruction, and camera motion analysis. DeGol's prestigious accolades, including the NDSEG and 3M Fellowships, 16 peer-reviewed publications, and 3 patents and his passion for mountaineering and board games, make him an exciting addition to Steg.AI's leadership team.
